Long form writing on engine optimization and AI visibility

Insights is the long form writing arm of ThatDeveloperGuy. Essays and technical deep dives covering what is actually working in 2026 and beyond for small business SEO, AEO, AIO, and GEO. The existing blog archive at /blog/ carries earlier tactical pieces. Insights is the slower, more considered cadence.

What insights will cover

The AI visibility transition and what it actually means for small businesses. Specifically: how ChatGPT and Perplexity citations differ from Google rankings, why answer capsules work, where the E E A T signals overlap with AI trust models, and what the first two years of AEO look like compared to the first two years of SEO in 2004 and 2005.

Deep dives on real engagements. What worked, what did not, why. Named clients with permission, anonymized patterns where confidentiality matters.

Long form analysis of the MEGAMIND substrate and what operating a federated neural network has taught Joseph about how search engines actually think. This is the layer where ThatDeveloperGuy has an advantage most agencies cannot match.

Publishing cadence

Monthly at a minimum. Roughly 2000 to 4000 words per piece. Answer capsules up top, detailed body, citations where applicable.

Inaugural post coming soon

The first Insights piece lands within the next 30 days. Topic: why AEO is not SEO with extra steps, and what the new discipline actually demands. Subscribe via email to be notified when it publishes.

In the meantime

The blog archive has existing pieces on SEO, tooling, and small business web development. The case studies section has five documented engagements. The engine optimization hub maps the 14 tier framework.
